This applies to most reasons for travel: tourism, family, business, medical or study. Only working in the country is prohibited.

For a trip to Côte d'Ivoire, a visa will be required for a maximum stay of 90 days. Before traveling to Côte d'Ivoire, we advise you to apply for your visa at least seven days before your departure.
The Côte d'Ivoire eVisa is only available for arrival at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny International Airport in Abidjan. If you decide to arrive at another port of entry, your eVisa will not be recognized, you will need a traditional visa. Your reason for travel must be for tourism, business, medical or study purposes. The fee is $118 per traveler.
When to go to Côte d'Ivoire?
From May to July and from October to November, the rainy season is strongly felt in the south of the country, so it is not advisable to visit during these periods. From December to April, the dry season is the ideal time to visit Côte d'Ivoire.
